PUMAS Play Tough in D1 Wild Card Round

"The Bruins came back and continued their assault on the Puma defense, but senior goaltender Erin Gilmour played an incredible game and came up with stop after stop to keep it scoreless for 24 minutes."
Your Pumas made the Division 1 CIF wild card round and played tough, however against Long Beach Wilson it was not enough. Erin Gilmour early in the match put on a Goal Keeper clinic stopping shot after shot in a very mudding goal box. It was not until late first half that LBW put in ball for a goal, with Gilmour and the rest of the CHS D playing their hearts out let slip a messy rebound ball from a corner into the net.
Second half your Pumas did not quit, as a team they kept working the ball up against a strong LBW midfield who would send up the ball to fast forwards looking to score. CHS kept up the pressure on LBW but only had four attempts on goal, with none connecting for a goal things were not looking great for CHS.
As the game ends the CHS PUMAS fall short to advance to the next round. For the Seniors this was a strong way to end their careers as a CHS footballer. For the rest of the team, this game speaks loud as to the future of the program and was a glimpse of what is ahead.
